I complete a comprehensive health history, along with postural and movement assessments to gain an understanding of your current health, nutrition and fitness. Then together, we determine your needs and goals and map out the best approach for success.

HEALTH COACHING

Improving your health through nourishment on and off the plate

People utilize health coaching to learn how to live a healthy lifestyle and find balance. There are several areas of our life that provide nourishment off the plate, and impact our health and weight. We explore and clarify current life issues that may be road blocks to desired goals and I provide support and mentoring to find solutions and create positive changes. Others simply don't know where to start in making changes in their life, but just know they want to feel better.  I help them begin the journey.

Through health coaching I also teach you about quality nutrition and you explore what foods are best for you bio-individually. Some clients want to lose weight and I help them understand that there is not a "one size fits all diet". What works for one does not work for another and can even be toxic. Our best nutrition is an evolving process based on several factors.  I help clients find foods that are optimal for their health and they immediately begin to feel better and healthy body composition changes occur naturally as a result.

INDIVIDUALIZED FITNESS TRAINING

Improve your fitness through an individualized training program.

Clients seek improved fitness for all kinds of reasons. They want to feel better, mentally and physically; maybe they had a health scare or are on the verge of disease; or they want to accomplish a specific goal or attend a special event and want to look their best; or have been routine exercisers but are not achieving results or want the knowledge and intensity that a fitness professional brings to elevate their training program. Whatever the initial drive, those goals plus so many more are met with my fitness training.


My programs help my clients achieve complete fitness.  Often times, people exercising on their own, are only putting effort into one area with their existing routine. I address all five components of fitness including muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular performance, flexibility and healthy body composition.  In my 60 minute sessions I utilize creative programming to help my clients work and improve in all areas. 


I help clients improve their vital statistics and cardiovascular health to prevent disease; alleviate pain from muscular compensations related to injury, sport or repetitive postures at work; improve strength and endurance; increase flexibility and mobility; improve sports performance or train for a specific fitness goal; improve body composition, sleep, energy, confidence, esteem, and so much more.

CORRECTIVE EXERCISE & FLEXIBILITY TRAINING

Improve mobility, strength, flexibility and muscle recovery

Our posture and mobility are determined by the condition of our muscles, impacted by repetitive movements or lack of movement. Our work, lifestyle, sport, and past or current injuries cause the over and underuse of muscles, leading to impairments in our kinetic chain. These muscle compensations affect our gait, joint mobility and can cause tightness, weakness or pain. Often people are going to the gym- performing some type of cardio exercise, taking a class or lifting weights with existing compensations that will worsen, lead to injury or inhibit effective results.  


Through a comprehensive assessment, I develop a plan for each client, addressing their specific compensations to alleviate muscular dysfunction, improve performance and recovery and create a strong healthy foundation for exercise and strength building. This approach leads to safe, progressive results.

CARDIO FITNESS

Feel Good, Look Good


The average person sits 10-12 hours a day with work, commutes, meals and leisure activities. Do your body a favor and get your blood pumping. Improve your heart health and circulation, mood, energy, movement, balance and body composition, to just name a few benefits of cardiovascular exercise. Your heart is a muscle and needs to be exercised for optimal functioning.

There are many types of cardio exercise, so if you are bored with the thought of clocking time on a treadmill, know a whole new world awaits. Your fitness must be challenging AND fun!

STRENGTH BUILDING

Build lean muscle, improve daily movement and functioning and prevent injury.

My experiences in fitness training includes a focus on strength building. The unique programs I’ve developed will help build lean muscle, burn calories, boost metabolism, and improve your overall health. A combination of strategic exercises as well as a healthy diet will have you in tip top shape.


There are many tools I use with clients to increase strength from body weight, resistance tools and plyometric exercises to traditional weights. Variety and cross training creates challenging, fun and effective programs.

MUSCULAR ENDURANCE & SPORT SPECIFIC TRAINING

Improve muscular endurance, stamina and energy recovery

Our muscular endurance enables us to lead an active lifestyle, play a sport we enjoy or prepare for a fitness event with lasting energy, optimal muscle sustainability and recovery. I build endurance activities into all of my training programs and also create sport-specific programs for athletes interested in improving performance.
